About Us:
Ranch Style is owned and operated by Melanie Callender and Angela Carriger. Both Angela and Melanie live on working ranches in Caldwell County and enjoy raising horses and riding.
Angela and her son, Cade, live on the T-Bar Ranch in Dale Texas. T-Bar is a working horse ranch that raises and trains Performance Paint & Quarter horses.
Melanie is the latest generation of Texas ranchers that spans generations and she still lives with her Fiance and her family, who raise horses and cattle on the ranch that was given to her family by the Republic of Texas after the death of her ancestor at the Alamo.
Melanie and Angela have been friends for over ten years, and decided to open a very small shoppe on the square in Lockhart as a hobby to sell their custom leather work and jewelry, Ranch Style General Store now operates out of 5,000 Square Foot Building at 108 S. Commerce.
They feel strongly about their community amd want to help celebrate Lockhart's history. Lockhart is known as the BBQ capitol of Texas, but it was built on cattle and cotton. Lockhart was at the beginning of the Chisholm trail and saw thousands of head of cattle a day driven through it's streets in the mid 1800's on their way up the Chisholm trail to the Kansas railheads. Melanie and Angela wanted to capture the history of the town, hence the name "Ranch Style on the Chisholm Trail."

HUGE THANKS to the community of Lockhart and Caldwell County, friends and family. They have been SO supportive of the shoppe and always provide kind words of support. Locals and BBQ tourists alike continually comment on how they enjoy the unique inventory for men and women, whether they are hard core cowboys & cowgirls or just want a little cowboy or cowgirl in their home or wardrobe.
